Ask and keep on asking
04:44
|
|||
We will ask and keep on asking
Seek and keep on seeking
Knock until the door is opened wide
Pray and keep on praying
Watch and keep on waiting
On our knees every day of our lives
You are the hope and we have seen it
You are the way and we believe it
You are the truth, the life we’ve received
And now long to give
So we will asking and keep on asking for this
Seek and keep on seeking for you
Knock until all heaven is flung wide
We will pray and keep on praying to you
Watch and keep on waiting for you
On our knees even if it takes our whole lives
(you can have our lives)
You are the hope and we have seen it
You are the way and we believe it
You are the truth, the life we’ve received
And now long to give
You are the Father to the orphan
You are the husband for the widow
You are the arms wide-open welcome
to the stranger in town
And you are the healer for the broken
Comforter; restorer to the lost and lonely
And for the poor –
you’re defender and provider always
And you are the one behind each miracle
Each sign and wonder
Each good gift of transformation is sourced from you.
You are the one behind each softened heart
Moved to generous acts of mercy
And the one who brings the intercessors to their knees –
Begging you Lord, crying out Lord please –
Do what’s already on your heart.

Come Prince of Peace
04:20
|
|||
We speak your name
The name of grace
Over warring lands
Come Prince of Peace
We command a blessing
‘Lay down your guns
And fight no more’
Come Prince of Peace
May the light of Christ breakthrough in these darkest of times –
Transforming hearts and minds til mercy triumphs over judgement.
Let the peace of Christ dwell in us richly today
We lay down our right to judge and take up the way of love.
We speak your name
The name of grace
Over vengeful hearts
Come Prince of Peace
We command a blessing
‘Lay down your rights
And hate no more’
Come Prince of Peace
We are standing for peace today – on our knees, on our knees
We are mourning with tears today – for our enemies - are they even our enemies?
We long to learn the way of grace today – teach us please – Prince of Peace.

Kneel me down
06:01
|
|||
Kneel me down at your feet
Sovereign Lord, Holy King
Hope of the nations,
You’re the song of my heart
You are glorious, you are glorious,
You’re glorious, Name above all
(Jesus)
Draw me close to your heart
Sacred friend, precious King
Hope of the nations,
You’re the song of my heart
You are beautiful, you are beautiful,
You’re beautiful, Name above all
(Jesus)
Break my heart with what breaks yours
Suffering King, friend of the poor
Hope of the nations,
You’re the song of my heart
You are merciful, you are merciful
You’re merciful, Name above all
(Jesus)

I'm coming right in
04:53
|
|||
I’m coming right in to your presence Lord
My heart full of friends and prodigals
I’m kneeling down at your mercy seat
My heart is breaking for friends and prodigals
I have known your mercy Lord
Your healing and your grace
I long for them to receive still more
And to know your goodness God.
I’m coming right in to your presence Lord
My heart full of the poor and shattered ones
I’m kneeling down at your mercy seat
My heart breaking for the poor and shattered ones
I have known your provision Lord
Your favour and your rest
I long for them to receive still more
And to know your goodness God.
Pour your mercy out on them
Shower down your love and your grace
May they know your fathering
And come to know the goodness of you God
May they come to know the goodness of you God.
I’m coming right in to your presence Lord
My heart full of all the hardened ones
I’m kneeling down at your mercy seat
My heart is breaking for all the hardened ones
I have known your softening Lord
As you teach me what is right
Open their eyes to see your truth, and love
And all your goodness God.

Nmoshka
04:25
|
|||
Loved by our Father
Sought by the Son
Made in the image of the Holy One
Precious to him
A destiny given
One in six billion still seen
Nmoshka, nmoshka
I greet the Holy One I see in you
Nmoshka, nmoshka
I see Him in the pools of your brown eyes
Burnt by poverty’s flame
Deafened by injustice refrain
Robbed by history and power’s greed
But culture cannot hide,
Religion can’t defile
The truth of who made you in love
Christ in me, the hope of glory
Teach me to be your hands and your feet
To serve my brothers, the least of these
Each as precious and unique as me
And Father I come with so many questions
But I know your truth still stands
That these your children, loved by you
Are still held in your sovereign hands
(Alt chorus)
Nmoshka, nmoshka
I greet the Holy One I see in you
Nmoshka, nmoshka
Help me see You in the pools of their brown eyes

Healer of nations
03:43
|
|||
Healer of nations (Healer of nations)
We come to you (We come to you)
We lift this country (We lift this country)
Believing you know what to do
Father of nations (Father of nations)
We choose to trust you (We choose to trust you)
That you’ll father the fatherless (Father the fatherless)
And restore and renew
This is our cry
This is our prayer
Lord have mercy
Christ have mercy
On them
Servant of nations (Servant of nations)
Teach us your mercy (Teach us your mercy)
Break our hearts with compassion (Break our hearts with compassion)
And show us just what we should do
Saviour of nations (Saviour of nations)
Fill us with your strength (Fill us with strength)
To be your hands and your feet (Hands and your feet)
Finally in the way that you meant
This is our cry
Make us a prayer
Lord have mercy
Christ be sending
Us

Bring the nations home
05:19
|
|||
You still our hearts, and fix our sights
On this centre-point – the champion of light.
Jesus your face, shines like the sun
But the scars left by the thorns show what you've done.
In glory now, still your heart breaks –
Tears for the nations stain your face.
We're lost in awe – please show us more
Of the King who made a way.
And though we see, only in part,
Still we've seen enough to captivate our hearts;
We've glimpsed our Lord, we've met our King
And our life's pursuit is set – you're everything.
To beckon more towards you God
Is our heart's desire for we long to make Love known.
And watch your power, changing more hearts
As you bring heaven's way to earth.
We're pressing on, we're running still
No greater goal than to gaze upon your face.
This our reward, to bring still more
To the glorious, shining brilliance of your grace.
For you are ours, and we are yours.
So we know the heart you have for each one lost.
And we the found, will search with you –
To bring the nations home

Simply surrendered
04:37
|
|||
You have given me a hope a vision
Orchestrated my provision
And levelled out my valleys into plains
You have set my feet upon your rock
Lifted my eyes to see my God
And raised these hands in grateful praise again
So I will trust in you
Forever for you are so good and true
In me you’re working to restore and renew
Just like you promised you would
God of the ages I’ll sing praise
You are the author of ceaseless grace to me, to me
God of all victory I will rest
For you are the one that builds this house in me, in me
And I am blessed and favoured in your perfect timing
You have shown what you can do
All that I am called to is to worship and follow
You have shown what you can do
With a life simply surrendered
So I surrender my all to you – I surrender my all
Yes I surrender my all to you

Create in me a pure heart
And renew your Spirit within me
I’ve tried it my own way and found
That there is nothing and no-one quite like you.
It’s only through your love that I have the grace
To love you like I want to
It’s only through your Spirit that I have the strength
To speed your love to the broken
Soften my hardened heart
Renew your love within me.

What price?
05:07
|
|||
What price a human life?
Who dares to sell a human life?
How can we accept this slavery
Growing and halfway legal in our century?
What price a woman’s smile?
Who dares to steal a woman’s smile?
What beauty and worth is desecrated here?
And how can even perfect love end this kind of fear?
Fill us up with your furious love.
Wake us up to your restless mercy.
Send us out with your jealous redemption
Till they’re free – till they’re free.
What price a little child?
Who dares buy a little child?
Each one unique and so perfectly made,
Carrying your image and died for – how can they not be safe?
Smash the chains holding captives down.
Break the links that pass people to be sold.
End the lies claiming change can’t be won.
God of freedom – let your kingdom come
Even here – even here
Till they’re free – till they’re free.
What price for change to come?
Who dares pay for justice to be done?
I will not accept as commodities
People loved and treasured so infinitely.
Fill me up with your furious love.
Wake me up to your restless mercy.
Send me out with your jealous redemption
Till they’re free – till they’re free.
So what price a comfortable life?
Do I dare buy the lie I can’t fight this fight?
You paid the price for my apathy –
Open my eyes to see the chains of choosing not to see...
(what you see.)

What is my whole life?
04:54
|
|||
What is my whole life
Laid down in sacrifice
Beside the cross?
What is my every day
Laid down to spread your grace
Compared to the cost?
You came and gave yourself for me
And it is only by your stripes I’m healed
Your yes instead of my never enough
So what is my whole life compared to yours?
I lay down my life – and take up yours
What is my whole life
Laid down in sacrifice
Beside the cross?
What are my tomorrows
Trusted only to grace
Compared to the cost?
Content in any circumstance – for you are my reward, my treasure and delight
All this world prizes; one by one I count each thing as loss next to arms outstretched in love
For me to live is Christ and even to die is to my gain – to be with you my Lord
What is my whole life compared to yours?
I lay down my life and take up yours.
(Freeform bridge - personal to the writer)
Bank accounts and buildings, security and pension funds – I count them all as loss.
Reputation and success – the good opinion of others simply matters less than arms outstretched in love.
Even the deepest secret desires of my heart that you know so well Lord – are as nothing next to you.
For what is my whole life compared to yours?
I lay down my life and take up yours.

Thank you for this answered prayer,
Thank you for another testimony that you're here.
Thank you for this act of kindness,
Another demonstration of your power and your faithfulness.
You are who you say you are,
You're the one who gives us strength to ask.
Then you do all you say you will do.
You're the God who answers prayer.
Another revelation that you're here.
Thank you for this miracle,
Another chance to lift your name in songs of love and praise.
Thank you for another story,
Another rock of grace and faith to stand on as we pray for more.
We won't rob you of your glory.
We won't deny ourselves this testimony.
No we won't rob you if any of your glory – Jesus –
We won't deny ourselves this testimony
Of you at work.
You are who you say you are,
You're the one who gives us strength to ask.
Then you do all you say you will do.
You're the God who answers prayer.
Another revelation that you're here.
(Another demonstration that you care.)
